IN THIS PROJECT, I CREATED A STANDARD HELMET FOR THE SPORT OF FOOTBALL. THE HELMET DIFFERS FROM OTHER FOOTBALL HELMETS IN THE PAST BECAUSE IT IS CONSTRUCTED WITH SAFTEY AND PRODUCTION COSTS AS THE TWO PRIORITIES OF THE PROJECT. THE HELMET UTILIZES A TECHNOLOGY THAT GOES BY THE NAME OF D3O FOAM. THE D3O FOAM ADDS MORE PROTECTION THAN WAS EVER SEEN IN ANY FOOTBALL HELMET BEFORE.
FEATURES
1. One polycarbonate shell mould in which the facemask is connected to the rest of the helmet. This allows for less assembly and cheaper production costs.
2. D3O Foam (strategic zone placement)
3. Optional visor
4. Water bottle slot in facemask in the front of the mouth for accurate hydration
